Well it’s that time again. The time when we all say, “the system doesn’t work!” And then promptly go back to using the exact system as if it worked. So here’s who I’m voting for in the next election: https://bluevoterguide.org/edit-ballot?pbid=20c6e9ec430305face96acad0cca79a560
I consider myself a staunch undecided voter. I feel passionately that I don’t know who to vote for. I googled (actually Duck Duck Go’d) for recommendations. The only one I could find was the Blue Voter Guide. https://bluevoterguide.org/. I would use a red voter guide, but there isn’t one. And for midterms, you have to pick either red team or blue team. I’ll go with blue team for now and if the red team picks a candidate that isn’t stark raving mad, I may choose them instead.
Representative, U.S. House Illinois District 13
Nikki Budzinski
I like that Rep. Budzinski is bi-partisan and cares about the climate. The other guy looks fine, but I think the incumbent is doing a good job.
Illinois Comptroller
I think Kim has real experience and she seems passionate about the job. I also like that she wants to modernize the system. You know, one reason government is bad because it’s inefficient, but it doesn’t have to be. There’s no reason why government couldn’t be both bad and efficient, and I think Kim can help us make it that.
U.S. Senate Illinois
Raja Krishnamoorthi

I like Raja. That’s what his website says to call him. I like that he has plans. Real, thought out, well written plans: https://rajaforil.com/plan/trump-accountability-plan/
Champaign County Executive
Sanford Hess

I choose Sanford Hess. He seems to have put more thought into his role and what he would do.
Wow I just did 2 hours of research on a bunch of people, and most of them won’t even win!
